Navy test-fired BrahMos missile in the Bay of Bengal
In November 2023, the Indian Navy successfully test-fired one BrahMos missile from its war vessel in the Bay of Bengal. The Indian Navy had mentioned in its statement that the missile had achieved the mission objectives fruitfully. The Navy shared a photograph of the test firing via a post on X.
BrahMos Supersonic cruise missile
Per a top official associated with BAPL, the India-Russian collaborative venture generates supersonic cruise missiles, which can quickly be launched from ships, aircraft, submarines, or land platforms at approximately 2.8 Mach or nearly thrice the speed of sound. India exports BrahMos missiles to nations like the Philippines. Notably, the Navy tested the extended range capability.
