Curry was born on March 14, 1988, in Akron, Ohio, to Sonya and former NBA player Dell Curry. The family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina when he was a child.

After becoming a standout player at Davidson, Curry was selected by the Warriors with the seventh pick of the 2009 NBA Draft. Today, he is regarded as one of the best shooters in the game and has won four championships with The Dubs. He also won two MVP Awards back to back in 2015 and 2016 becoming the first unanimous MVP selection in NBA history. And in 2024, won his first Olympic gold medal with Team USA in Paris.

Curry’s NBA salary is $62 million a season and he’s had endorsement deals with several top brands including Nike, which he left to become the face of Under Armour, and TCL corporation’s line of “Palm” phones. Durant and Curry are actually the same age. KD was born in Washington D.C. to Wanda and Wayne Pratt on Sept. 29, 1988, making him just a few months younger than Curry. Durant’s father was not present during most of his childhood as he was raised by his mother and grandmother. Wayne Pratt re-entered his son’s life when he was 13 and began taking him to basketball tournaments around the country.

Durant was selected with the second overall pick by the Seattle SuperSonics (later the Oklahoma City Thunder) in the 2007 NBA Draft. He has become one of the time greats in the game. Former staffer believes Meghan wants to show she can do what she did before she met Harry

Grant Harrold was King Charles’ butler for seven years. During his time working for the now-monarch Harrold’s duties included that of valet, housekeeper, house manager, and driver. He also looked after Prince Harry and Prince William whenever they stayed at Highgrove House.

Harrold opined that Meghan had no other option but to pick another name quickly following issues with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office over American Riviera Orchard, but would probably like to have that name back.

Another company is crying foul over Meghan’s ‘As Ever’ name

Following Meghan’s announcement that her brand would now be called “As Ever,” several people pointed out that is already the name of a vintage clothing shop in New York. Well now, we’re learning that it’s also the name of a photography company.

Jen, the owner of the Arizona-based As Ever Photography, broke her silence on Instagram after finding out Meghan is using the same name as her business.

She wrote: “When one of the most famous people in the world starts using your biz name of 12+ years (that you named in honor of your grandmother), seems like they could throw me a lil bone?”

Jen tagged both Meghan and Netflix in her post.

When the devastating wildfires burned through parts of Los Angeles County, many did what they could to help from afar like sending donations. But Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. decided to actually visit some of the areas affected and were seen touring neighborhoods reduced to rubble where some of the town’s residents couldn’t even get back to at that time.

The backlash was fierce and not a good look for the Sussexes, so leave it to Netflix to clean that up.

The duchess’s show With Love, Meghan was supposed to debut on the streaming platform in January but was pushed back as the wildfires continued. The new date for the show’s debut is March 4 and now it’s being reported that the series has been re-edited and footage was added to push Meghan’s philanthropic efforts and try to erase the “disaster tourists” label she and Harry were given for not staying out of LA while the fires were raging.

Report that Meghan’s show will highlight her volunteer work during the wildfires

The first celebrity to call Meghan and Harry out was Justine Bateman who in a post on X wrote: “Meghan Markle and Harry are no better than ambulance chasers. What a repulsive “photo op” they achieved. They are “touring the damage”? Are they politicians now? They don’t live here; they are tourists. Disaster Tourists.”

TV hosts and commentators then began to run with the “disaster tourists” label. So now it’s up to Netflix to turn the tide in Meghan’s favor and show she was there because she really wanted to help.

As Netflix reportedly tries to change the narrative around Meghan’s visit to LA it will likely show her at locations being generous and looking genuine. But someone who volunteered at a site where the Sussexes visited saw something different. They claimed when the non-working royals arrived, everyone volunteering there was asked to leave while the duke and duchess got camera time.

With so many accusations that the 17 minutes Harry and Meghan spent volunteering at the evacuation center in Pasadena was staged, producer and co-host of the Never Not Funny podcast Matt Belknap shared what his daughter, Zoe, who volunteered there told him.

According to Belknap, “Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had showed up to that place and there’s like hundreds of people there volunteering. They cleared it all out. Everybody [was told] ‘take 15.’ These people are coming in to pretend that they’re helping and get a photo op.”

After nearly a year of teasing products for her new lifestyle brand initially called American Riveria Orchard, Meghan Markle‘s application for the name was reportedly rejected by the US Patent and Trademark Office. Therefore, the former Suits star had to come up with a new name. The problem is the new one she chose “As Ever,” is not original either.

In addition to the name change, Meghan ditched ARO’s previous logo swapping it out for what is very similar to one island’s coat of arms.

Clothing store Meghan copied name from makes public statement

Shortly after Prince Harry’s wife announced the new name for her brand, social media lit up with followers informing her that the “As Ever” name was already taken as it is a New York-based clothing store. While there hasn’t been a response to that from the duchess, the store’s owner has responded.

Just like Meghan took to Instagram to announce the new name of her brand, the founder of the clothing company “As Ever” took to Instagram with his own message.

“I want to say thank you to all the old friends who know and love our small family brand As Ever and also say hi to all those that have just become aware we exist,” the post read. “In the last 36 hours there has been an outpouring of support and concern regarding recent events around our namesake brand. We are aware. We are not affiliated.”

The post was written by Mark Kolksi, who explained that his brand began as a passion project back in 2015 when he started reworking vintage military pieces before it evolved into a full-fledged clothing line in 2017.

He also hit back at Meghan who signed her post “As Ever, Meghan” by signing his: “We will continue As Ever, Mark Kolski.”

Kolski spoke to The Sun and admitted that he doesn’t own a trademark to the “As Ever” name but believes he has “common law rights” to continue selling clothing using “As Ever” just as he’s done for the last eight years.

He told the publication that he feels “powerless” to take any action in response to Meghan’s new rebrand but he is refusing to change his clothing brand’s name and “exploring all possibilities.”

“I’m a very small business, it’s a family-run operation,” Kolski said. “I’m essentially a one-man band. This new venture has the power and money of Netflix behind it. Even if I wanted to do something I don’t think I have the behemoth of lawyers and money that are behind this.”

But it’s not just the name of her brand. Meghan also allegedly copied the new logo for her brand. The palm tree in the center of two hummingbirds flying on the sides she used for As Ever’s logo is almost identical to a Majorcan town’s heraldic emblem.

The mayor of Porreres in Mallorca Francisca Mora has accused the former working royal of “plagiarism.” She talked to the local outlet El Pais and insisted: “It is a total copy.”

“To sue for plagiarism is complicated and costly, and a small town council like ours is not in a position to fight against the English crown,” Mora said per the Daily Mail. “I don’t know if she visited some agritourism sites and saw the coat of arms, because the photo on her website is taken from Mallorca … At first, we didn’t really understand where it had come from and what their objective was in copying our coat of arms.”

The mayor added: “We don’t like our coat of arms being used, we want them to pull the logo.”

Rumors about Wilson and Adebayo being an item started prior to the 2024 Paris Olympics. Once they got to the City of Love, those rumors went into overdrive with fans watching their interactions away from the court.

RIP American Riviera Orchard. Meghan Markle has changed the name of her lifestyle brand replacing it with the new name: “As Ever.” However, there’s a major problem with that name which could spell a real headache for Prince Harry’s wife.

On Feb. 18, Meghan posted a video on her recently-relaunched Instagram account sharing news of the name change with her followers saying: “Last year, I thought you know what, American Riviera, that sounds like such a great name, it’s my neighborhood [and] its a name for Santa Barbara. But it limited me to things that were just manufactured and grown in this area.”

The duchess captioned the clip: “I’m thrilled to introduce you to ‘As Ever’ — a brand that I created and have poured my heart into. ‘As ever’ means ‘as it’s always been’ or some even say ‘in the same way as always.’”

But now, many fans are pointing out that there’s a big problem with calling it “As Ever” that Meghan and her team may not have been aware of.

The name ‘As Ever’ is already taken

In response to Meghan’s Instagram video, fans took to X to share their thoughts on her brand’s new name with many pointing out that “As Ever” is already taken.

One user wrote: “There’s also a NY shop with the same name. Oops,” and another added, “It’s already a trademark vintage clothing store. Has been for a few years.”

A third user opined that the whole name change is going to be a “mess” for the former Suits star saying: “A company or brand name can change during the creation of a brand. Meghan essentially launched her brand with products under a totally different name and logo, that she now has to change. This is a mess, a disaster, but of Meghan’s own making.”

If the name is already indeed trademarked as it’s been suggested, Meghan will have that headache of possibly having to change it again which would look disastrous for her.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Express that perhaps Meghan felt rushed to share a new brand name to coincide with the launch of her new Netflix series debuting on March 4.

He also said: “Meghan’s premature launch of American Riviera Orchard last year led to trademark issues holding it up. Its name is now ‘As Ever.’ She must have been desperate to coordinate its launch with her eight-part series With Love, Meghan.”

Another hurdle for Meghan is what Instagram handle she can use for As Ever. The New York City clothing store has the Instagram handle @asevernyc but @AsEver, @AsEverMeghan, and @AsEverByMeghan belong to other users. To overcome that obstacle and get a handle that makes sense to promote her brand on, the duchess may need to pay one of the private users to purchase the handle, something she is believed to have done for her @meghan Instagram.

Branding expert Emily M. Austen explained to FEMAIL that the @meghan handle was likely an account owned by someone else before, as it’s “not a unique name.'”

She added: “Most likely, Meghan (or her team), will have used a website to negotiate through a third party, the handle and had to pay for ownership … Meghan likely used a third party which would mean her identity would remain hidden. Most sellers start with a guide price, which can go from $200 to $20,000 depending on the desirability of the handle,’ perhaps hinting that Meghan may have to pay for an As Ever handle if she hasn’t secured one already.”

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is one of the most famous NBA players on the planet. And his wife Ayesha Curry is a chef, a cookbook author, a blogger, and a TV personality.

The two have become a power couple who many fans just can’t get enough of and always want to know more about. So here are a few things you may not have known about Steph, Ayesha, and their family.

Steph was born on March 14, 1988, in Akron, Ohio, to Sonya Curry and former NBA player Dell Curry. Steph grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is the oldest sibling of his sister, Sydel, and fellow NBA player Seth Curry. Steph is regarded as one of the best shooters in the game and has won multiple championships with The Dubs as well as a gold medal for the United States in the Paris Olympics.

Ayesha was born on March 23, 1989, in Ontario, Canada, to parents John and Carol Alexander. Her mother is of Jamaican and Chinese descent while her father is of African American and Polish descent. She has four siblings: Maria, Janiece, Jaz, and Chad. Her family relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina when she was a teen and that’s when she ended up meeting her future husband.

As for their height difference, Steph stands at 6-foot-2-inches tall while Ayesha is 5-foot-8-inches.

Today, the Currys have four children together.

Their oldest, Riley, was born on July 19, 2012, followed by another daughter, Ryan, in July 2015.

In July 2018, Steph and Ayesha welcomed their first son, Canon, and six years later their youngest son, Caius, arrived in May 2024.

The couple has been married since 2011 and Ayesha once spoke about some of the keys to her and Steph’s happy marriage.

“I want to say that we’re good communicators … that’s what keeps our bond strong,” she said during an interview with Hello Giggles. “Even when we don’t want to talk about something, we talk about it. Especially from my perspective, I’m a lay-it-all-out-on-the-table kind of girl, so whether it’s a tough conversation or an easy conversation, I never have a tight lip. I tell it like it is and I tell it straight, and ultimately I think it keeps things a lot better for us.”

Ayesha added: “Just making sure that we put each other first, even before the kids, as tough as that sounds. Putting ourselves first, and making sure that we make time for date nights and for each other. That’s been very important, as hard as it is. Because when you become a parent, you want to put your kids first, and we do, but we do it second to our relationship. Because ultimately, when our relationship is good, the kids are happy and they’re thriving and our family life is good.

“We have to put that into perspective and realize that it’s not us being selfish, it’s making sure we set a strong foundation.”

Meghan Markle attended the most recent Invictus Games in Vancouver with Prince Harry. However, after a few days of taking in the competitions, the duchess left the event and flew back home to California. The reason given was that she wanted to get back to the couple’s two young children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Because the Duke of Sussex stayed in Canada until the Games concluded on Feb. 15 his wife sent him a loving post via social media while he was away. But some have taken issue not with what Meghan posted but when she posted it.

The former Suits star took to her recently-relaunched Instagram account with a black-and-white photo of her and Harry kissing as they sit together at a table ready to eat.

The duchess captioned it: “Back home taking care of our babies, and missing my Valentine, as he continues on at the Invictus Games, changing lives and reminding all of us of the power of healing and resilience through these incredible veterans and their families. Beyond proud of my husband and what he’s created. My love, I will eat burgers & fries and fish & chips with you forever. Thank you for you.”

However, some royal watchers have a problem with when Meghan posted the snap to her Instagram.

Royal News Network’s expert Brittany called the timing of the post “very cringy” and shows her “desperation.”

“You’ve got to note that Meghan Markle’s post about Harry came shortly [after] Catherine and William, for the first time, posted a little Valentine’s Day picture,” Brittany said per Express. “You can really feel the desperation — it’s really starting to set in as 2025, we know for sure, is make it or break it for Harry and Meghan.”

While some may argue that the timing could simply be a coincidence, others say it can’t be ignored that Meghan has a habit of posting something right after the Waleses do. It’s something she and Harry started doing years ago after they stepped down from their royal roles.

Whenever the duke’s relatives mark major milestones or host large events, the Sussexes try to steal the spotlight from the other royals and get their names back in the headlines by putting out pictures or news about their upcoming projects.

Some examples of this are when Meghan chose to do a soft launch of products for her lifestyle brand during the 2024 Trooping the Colour. A month later, it seemed Harry tried to upstage his nephew Prince George’s 11th birthday by announcing then that the 2027 Invictus Games would be held in Birmingham.

Another time was when Prince Harry picked the release date for his book Spare within a day of the Princess of Wales’ birthday. That was much like when the Sussexes decided to reveal their bombshell news that they were stepping down in 2020 on Jan. 8, the day before the princess’s actual birthday leaving no chance that anyone would be talking about Kate then.
