On Feb. 12, the mother of six took to Instagram to insist her marriage is doing well.

In a surprise post, Christine shared several snaps of herself with David Woolley set to “Peekaboo” by Kendrick Lamar. She wrote that she’s always surprised by what she reads about herself in the news before suggesting her fans rest easy because she and Woolley “couldn’t be happier.”

Christine and David met in late 2022. They opted to go public with their relationship in February 2023. An engagement announcement followed not long after. The pair tied the knot in Utah in October 2023 and settled together in a new home in Lehi, Utah. Her marriage to David is Christine’s first legal marriage. She was previously spiritually married to Kody Brown for decades. David is a widow.

Throughout her and Kody Brown’s marriage, Robyn Brown has been accused of manipulating the Brown family. As his fourth wife, Robyn appeared to notice the weak spots in his relationships with Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown and use them to her advantage.

Early in their relationship, Robyn quickly became Kody’s favorite wife. Thus, this shift in Kody’s attention created tension within the family.

Additionally, Robyn’s ability to have Kody wrapped around her finger created a situation in which Kody was unable to see how his decisions were being shaped by her influence rather than his own judgment.

Most recently, Sister Wives fans learned that while Kody maintained he didn’t have enough funds to buy out Janelle and Meri Brown for their part of the family’s shared Coyote Pass property, he did have enough to put down $420,000 on a new 7,884-square-foot home for Robyn and their children, according to In Touch. The couple reportedly carries a loan of $1,680,000 as a mortgage.

The couple’s excessive spending has been reported on social media for years. Jewelry, paintings, home decor, expensive ATVs, and other items were commented on by Janelle Brown, during a season 19 episode of Sister Wives.

But the most embarrassing way Robyn Brown continues to make a fool of Kody is by recklessly spending their money. Social media has been abuzz over reports she’s spent tens of thousands of dollars on Etsy. The end of her URL features her maiden name, Sullivan, and the page shows all 235 of her favorite stores, including multiple doll retailers.

Sister Wives is currently on hiatus. The show returns to TLC in the spring.

Depending on the time frame, he blamed Christine Brown, his children with Janelle Brown, and periodically, Meri Brown. He’s said horrible things about each wife. But Meri, his first wife, appeared to bear the brunt of his ire for almost a decade. Now that they are divorced, Kody insists he sees Meri Brown as a “friend.” That didn’t stop him from trying to rip her off when it came time to split up Coyote Pass, though.

Kody Brown and Meri Brown announced their split in January 2023 via Instagram. Sister Wives fans knew the marriage had been over years earlier. There had been plenty of uncomfortable moments when Kody made it clear he did not love Meri, didn’t value her, and saw her as “difficult.” Despite that, she stayed, seemingly trapped by indecision and religious obligation.

Now that she’s left, Meri has gained a new perspective, and, oddly enough, so has Kody. In a clip shared by TLC on Instagram, Kody Brown said he sees Meri Brown as a “friend” and has no ill feelings toward her. Kody even seemed interested in fostering a relationship. Fans were perplexed by the Brown family patriarch’s odd take, especially considering how poorly he treated her in the past and how he has treated her contributions to the family.

There is a good reason fans were confused by Kody Brown’s insistence that he considers Meri Brown his friend. Despite insisting that Meri Brown is someone he saw as a “friend,” the father of 18 didn’t hesitate to try to rip her off. Kody blatantly attempted to steal from his first wife. Meri revealed that Kody Brown once informed her that she was not “entitled” to an equal share of Coyote Pass, the property she helped pay for. Kody claimed she didn’t deserve an equal share because she only had one child with him. Meri paid for an equal share of the property and regularly contributed to a family fund that she rarely, if ever, accessed.

The mother of one revealed that information to her friend, Jenn Sullivan. She was understandably flabbergasted by Kody’s take on finances and how the property should be divided. Janelle Brown, who became Kody’s second wife in 1993, was similarly concerned about the division of the property. Janelle shares six children with Kody. She never revealed how much of the land he claimed she was entitled to.

Christine Brown is getting ready to spill all the tea. The Sister Wives star is preparing to release her long-awaited tell-all, Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family, and Finding Freedom. Here’s everything we know about her upcoming book, including when you’ll be able to read it.

Christine Brown’s tell-all memoir will be released in September 2025

Christine’s memoir is a “groundbreaking and heartfelt” look at “living in a family like no other and finding the strength to leave Mormonism—and the only life she’s known—behind.”

The book will explore Christine’s experience of growing up in a polygamist family in Utah. As a child, she always dreamed of having a large family of her own – including a full cast of sister wives. When she married Kody Brown in 1994, she thought she had found everything she had ever wanted. But life as Kody’s third wife turned out to not be quite what she expected.

“When TLC’s hit show Sister Wives premiered in 2010, Christine knew it was her chance to shine a light on the brighter side of polygamy—the helping hands, the lively discussions, and their unmatched devotion to each other. But the cameras also revealed a much darker truth,” reads the publisher’s synopsis.

Christine’s “candid” memoir will trace her journey “away from the Morman church and the bold path she is carving to live apart from all she has ever known … beyond her time in the spotlight as a sister wife.”

Sister Wife will be published by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. It’s due out on Sept. 16, 2025. The book is currently available for pre-order at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and Bookshop.com. Christine wrote the book with co-author Kelly Kennedy. Her previous titles include The Unit, Queen of Cuba, and Fight Like a Girl.

The ‘Sister Wives’ star says her memoir is ‘gritty and honest’

In an Instagram post, Christine promised that her book would be “gritty and honest.” In addition to exploring her childhood in polygamy and her marriage to Kody, it will also chronicle her “heartache with leaving religion and [her] marriage.” Readers will also learn about her romance with her new husband, David Woolley, whom she married in 2023.

In the social media update, the TLC star also gave a shout-out to Kennedy, whom she called “amazing and talented.” She noted that she “did NOT write [the book] myself even though every word is mine.”

Sister Wife is not Christine’s first foray into publishing. She previously co-wrote a book with Kody and his three other other wives: Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Robyn Brown. The series tell-all promises lots of big news for the Brown family, but all roads lead to Kody and Robyn. Will they be pushed on the installment to answer three big questions?

3. How close were Robyn and Kody before marriage?

In a tell-all preview of Sister Wives season 19, Christine Brown sits down with series host Sukanya Krishnan. It’s then that the reality star shares her thoughts about Robyn and Kody Brown’s romance before marriage.

Christine said, “We’ve all seen their engagement photos. I wonder how close they got before they were married?”

Her commentary was followed up with Krishnan asking Kody if he had any physical relationships before Meri. His response? He told Sukanya he was “shutting” that question down.

2. The real reason Kody needs to constantly defend his relationship with Robyn on ‘Sister Wives

All of his other wives have left him behind, and Kody Brown is with the only woman he claims to have ever truly loved. So why does he feel the need to defend his relationship with Robyn Brown all the time?

During season 19, Kody said in a confessional that he would always put Robyn ahead of everyone else, including his adult children. He referenced this while speaking of repairing his broken relationships with the children he shares with Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown.

“My children will always be my children and the door will always be open to them,” he said of his ongoing estrangement from many of his adult kids. “They’ve got to come through that door.”

“I’m going to be holding a hand out for that,” petty Kody added. “But I’m going to be holding this hand that’s next to me, and I won’t let go of that hand. I will not cut off Robyn to have a relationship with my children.”

On the latest installment of her regular “Fridays With Friends” social media update, Meri opened up about an upsetting past incident where Kody clearly favored his new wife Robyn over his first wife Meri.

On Jan. 31, Meri took to Instagram for another live chat with her bestie Jenn Sullivan. As usual, the conversation turned to Kody. Jenn urged Meri to share a story about a painful incident that occurred when the Brown family was still living in Las Vegas.

Meri explained that there was an artist whose work she admired. One day, she and Kody visited the artist’s gallery.

“I really like the artist. [Kody] was making a payment on” a piece, she recalled.

But if Meri thought Kody was going to surprise her with a nice gift, she was dead wrong.

“Not for me. I was like, ‘I like this one, and I love that one.’ And he was like, ‘Oh, this one I just bought for Robyn. You can go to her house and look at it,’” Meri shared.

Jenn was horrified by Kody’s behavior.

“Why didn’t you just push him off a cliff? That’s justifiable homicide,” she joked.

“It was not nice,” Meri said.

“I’m so, so frustrated. Because I truly did want an amicable divorce. And things just keep happening that, like, I will push back,” she said. “You don’t get to call my friends the things that you call my friends and I will push back. I’m probably not the favorite ex anymore.”

Meri also hinted that there was ongoing behind-the-scenes drama that wouldn’t be seen by Sister Wives fans.

“Some things happened recently. You’re not going to see it on a future episode,” she said.

TLC often edits the series differently for international audiences, sometimes adding extra content. However, a crucial element was omitted from a key scene, completely altering its entire context.

In Sister Wives Season 19 Episode 19, “Behold I Come Like a Thief,” former adversaries Janelle and Meri Brown united against Kody and Robyn Brown. The women are trying to recoup the money they invested in Coyote Pass.

On camera, the women revealed details of emails with Kody about how the property was to be divided. Janelle added the land was paid for out of the family fund. Meri agreed, “We all paid for it equally.”

They’ve spoken to lawyers, and Janelle called a situation “a business that had gone bad.”

However, in Australia, fans got to see a deleted scene on Facebook that shed new light on their conversation. Janelle admitted, “I have been asking [Kody] for like a year or more to go get his name off my bank account and he went in on one day and didn’t tell me, took his name off all of my accounts, and closed the family business account, which I had been keeping open so I could get records pulled and all that. I went to log into the business account and it’s like there is not an account and I’m like what?”

Janelle added in a separate confessional, “I was going to do it but I had kind of kept it open. Because I just wanted to make sure that until this property is settled those records were all there as a lot of the transactions for the land came from that account.”

“When I realized that it had been shut down, I kind of had this pit in my stomach. Like ‘I hope to hell that I don’t need anything as verification from that account.’ I sort of felt like it was kind of sneaky or something.”

In the U.S., Sister Wives runtime is 45 minutes or less due to TLC’s commercial breaks. However, Sister Wives episodes often differ overseas due to edits by international broadcasters, who air fewer commercial breaks than their U.S. counterparts.

As a result, scenes cut in the U.S. often make it into international episodes, filling in the obvious storyline gaps. TLC could clarify much of the missing information by releasing deleted scenes. But even when extra footage is added, many key moments remain absent from the show’s final edit.

This discrepancy has been happening for years. Many of these missing moments can be found on YouTube, where international versions of Sister Wives episodes are available.

Janelle Brown Makes More Progress on Taeda Farms in Less Than a Year Than the Browns Ever Made on Coyote Pass

Janelle Brown is set on ensuring the property she bought in North Carolina to house Taeda Farms does not suffer the same fate as Coyote Pass, the property she owned in Flagstaff, Arizona, with the rest of the Brown family. Janelle and her daughter and son-in-law are moving quickly to develop the land that the Sister Wives star bought last year. It looks like she has big plans for the property and Taeda Farms, the floral business she plans to run from the acreage.

Janelle Brown is moving quickly to ensure the property she purchased in North Carolina doesn’t sit unused like Coyote Pass. She closed on the acreage in March 2024 and has been updating fans about her plans for her new home ever since. It looks like 2025 will be a big year for the mother of six.

In late January, Janelle Brown took to Taeda Farms’ Instagram account to show off the progress that she had made. While no structures are built yet, she, with the help of Maddie and Caleb Brush, has taken the first big step in getting things set up. A hired contractor cleared a large plot of land where Janelle’s home will eventually sit. While she insists she intends to leave much of the 156 acres of land untouched, the property will ultimately serve as her home and place of business. The large clearing will be where everything is centered.

While Janelle didn’t offer a timeline for building, it looks like she’s pretty actively involved in getting the process moving. Janelle was also the most vocal Brown family member regarding Coyote Pass. Her ultimate goal was to build a home and live on that property. When her marriage to Kody failed, she changed directions. It has worked out for the best.

Why didn’t the Browns ever build on Coyote Pass?

While the Brown family initially had plans to build on Coyote Pass, they never agreed on how the property should be split or what type of structure they should place on the acreage. Initially, Kody Brown wanted to build one large house with separate living spaces for his wives. At the time of the proposal, he was legally married to Robyn Brown. He was also spiritually connected to Meri, Christine, and Janelle.

Christine Brown, who left Kody in 2021, staunchly opposed the idea. Later, the family agreed to split the property up. The plan was for each wife to build their own homes on individual plots of land. Once Kody’s marriages unraveled, he abandoned any serious attempt to build on the property. He has since moved into a new, larger home in Flagstaff with his only remaining wife. His three ex-wives have all moved out of the state.
