Hint: They’re from huge names in the world of celebrity chefs. Plus, what her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, has said she’s “great” at making.

In 2019, Swift revealed to Elle some of the dishes she considers dinner party fixtures. “I’ve always cooked a LOT, but I found three recipes I know I’ll be making at dinner parties for life,” she wrote.

One is Ina Garten’s Real Meatballs and Spaghetti. Featured in the Food Network star’s 2002 cookbook, Barefoot Contessa Family Style, Swift deviates from Garten’s instructions slightly. “I just use packaged bread crumbs and only ground beef for meat,” she noted.

The “Fortnight” singer is also a big fan of Nigella Lawson’s Mughlai Chicken. The cookbook author explained on her Nigella website that it’s not a dish “you can bang out in a moment.” So picture Swift spending an afternoon in the kitchen at any one of her multiple homes making it.

Last but not least, Swift loves Jamie Oliver’s Chicken Fajitas with Molé Sauce, which, per his instructions, come together in under 30 minutes.

Swift is also a talented baker

Swift’s skills in the kitchen go beyond cooking. She’s also said to be a talented baker. (Is there anything she can’t do?) Former NFL player Bernie Kosar recalled Swift bringing cinnamon rolls she baked herself to a pregame meal at Kelce’s house.

“That was at his house like three hours before the game. We’re having [our] pregame meal, and Taylor is so nice,” Kosar told Audacy’s AM 560 Sports WQAM in December 2023. “She comes in by herself, and she’s so cool. She brings…she made her homemade cinnamon rolls for Travis for pregame meal.”

Another specialty of Swift’s is homemade Pop-Tarts. Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid once said they helped Swift “fit in” with Kelce’s teammates. “Kind of behind-the-scenes, she, to fit in—she didn’t even know she was doing this, I don’t think—she likes to cook,” he said during a February 2024 interview (via YouTube). “So she made the offensive linemen these homemade Pop-Tarts. So it was over. She knew right where to go.”

Those in Swift’s star-studded circle of friends, as well as her boyfriend, Kelce, have gushed about how talented she is in the kitchen. Actor Channing Tatum praised her ability to cook a fancy meal while multitasking.

“What’s beautiful and also frustrating—she can also just cook a random, three-star Michelin Italian meal,” he told SiriusXM while promoting his new movie Blink Twice. Swift will ask friends what “genre” they want to eat, and she’ll make it.

“We’ll be like, ‘Italian,’” he said. “And she’ll just whip out a risotto. And she’s talking to you while she’s doing it.” Tatum also noted Swift provides dessert, such as her homemade Pop-Tarts.

At a June 2024 press conference, Kelce had some kind words for Swift’s cooking skills, too (via Us Weekly). “Taylor makes a great Pop-Tart and cinnamon roll,” he said after noting he’d prefer not to share what they like making together because he “thoroughly enjoy[s] cooking with her, so it’s something I’d rather just keep personal.”

Swift is on a break from touring—her Eras Tour resumes in October—which means she has time to host dinner parties and/or do all of the cooking and baking she wants.

Therefore, with great excitement, the couple shared the news on Instagram, that they were welcoming a baby alongside their beloved golden retriever, George. He was a key part of the announcement, wearing a neck scarf that said “big brother.”

On June 30, Alex and Mauricio shared a video in which they revealed their baby’s gender. Again, George was the star of the show, but his eagerness upstaged the big moment.

Alex and Mauricio used cupcakes to reveal if they were having a boy or a girl. George’s role was to bite into the sweet treat so the couple could show the camera the color of the creamy interior.

However, George had other ideas. He bit off so much of the first cupcake that he ate the entire middle, and the couple had to begin again with a second one.

Alex and Mauricio shared a slideshow of five photographs debuting sonogram photos of the newest addition to their family. The couple beamed at each other as they showed off “Baby Scott,” who makes their debut this winter.

She continued, “The baby is due around New Year’s Day. I don’t know how this is possible, considering I’m only 31 years old. How can I be a grandmother at 31?”

He enjoys making recipes accessible to even novice home cooks. Oliver does this by simplifying ingredients, giving the finished dish a great flavor punch in half the time.

Oliver calls Taylor Swift’s favorite recipe Claire’s chicken fajitas with cheat mole sauce. Many of the ingredients are pantry staples.

These include olive oil, sweet smoked paprika, chili powder, ground cumin, lime, red onion, yellow and red peppers, and chicken breasts. Also needed are flour tortillas, coriander, and yogurt.

It is a subject dear to his heart, particularly during the month of September, National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. The military veteran is sounding the alarm for all current and former military members to know that help is available through initiatives like Face the Fight, an organization he proudly supports.

Chef Andre Rush says ‘it’s easier to reach out than ever before’

Chef Andre Rush served as a White House chef for the presidential administrations of Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump. As a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army, Rush dedicated his post-service career to advocating for military servicemen and women. He has partnered with a coalition effort dubbed Face the Fight to break the stigma around mental health.

Rush faced his own challenges after transitioning out of the military. He saw many of his fellow servicemen and women struggling mentally upon returning home to their families.

“You’re taught to deal with it because you had to you had to deal with a lot of things [while in active service],” he explains. “It becomes a ticking time bomb, particularly for veterans.”

“We lose a lot of brothers and sisters to suicide. It is important to bring light to this group in particular. I spent 23 years in the military in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan, and during 9/11,” he continues.

Rush was in the gym of the Pentagon when Flight 77 was hijacked and subsequently crashed into the government building. The incident inspired him to sign up for combat duty

“When veterans transition out of the military, it is one of the hardest things they do,” Rush says of the importance of mental health support. “We are taught we are harder, tougher than anyone, and taught to deal with it because you had to.”

Thankfully, as continued awareness is brought to the topic of mental health, more resources are available for those needing it. Rush explains, “Mental Health Awareness is less stigmatized than it once was. It is important. Otherwise, it could become a ticking time bomb for those who need help.”

His passion is for helping people ‘lift each other up’

Chef Andre Rush continues to help others via his work with Face the Fight. Rush is a combat veteran, serving for 23 years in the United States Military and capping off an extraordinary career, leading him to the rank of Master Seargent.

He continues to devote his energies to giving back to his community, particularly his fellow servicemen and women, to provide them with the necessary resources to transition into civilian life.

Garten is no stranger to unconventional recipes. But in a 2012 episode of Barefoot Contessa, she got some extra help to create a dish a bit unusual for her style.

In the second installment of season 6, titled, “Drill Dinner,” Garten visited some local firefighters to cook them a special meal. After participating in a quick drill, the Barefoot Contessa star got busy in the kitchen to prepare the firefighters a delicious dinner at the station.

Garten’s meal featured beef barley soup, complemented by Firefighter Scott Elley’s sloppy joes. The sandwiches included Garten’s famous stilton dressing. For dessert, everyone partook in some tasty pecan caramel sundaes.

The fire station featured in the episode was located in the East Hampton community. This also happens to be where Garten filmed her series, Barefoot Contessa, for The Food Network.

Given the size of the station, Garten needed all the help she could get to pull off the meal.

This is how Ina Garten teamed up with a firefighter to create a unique dish

In the episode, Garten leaned heavily on Elley, who frequently cooks large meals for the fire department. In fact, as the supervisor of the fire department’s house committee, Elley is no stranger to whipping up a meal for his fellow firefighters.

Elley, who serves as a public safety dispatcher in the village, happens to be an accomplished chef with accolades to his name. His delectable lobster mac and Vermont-cheese creation is famous across town.

This made him perfect to team up with Garten. And with over 80 mouths to feed, the pair needed to pull out all of the stops to get the dinner finished in time.

When the challenge of preparing a meal for approximately 80 firefighters arose, Elley generously shared a few recipes of his own. Upon learning that Garten hadn’t yet ventured into the realm of sloppy joes, the menu was promptly decided.

Separately cook some sweet Italian pork sausages and drain the excess fat. Transfer the sausages to the meatloaf mix and continue cooking until everything is finished. Serve the delicious creation atop fresh hamburger buns.
