December is here and that means it’s time to watch Christmas movies! Ahead, find out where to stream some Christmas movie staples like the classic It’s a Wonderful Life to modern classics such as The Holiday and Elf.

1. ‘Home Alone’

First up is Home Alone. The 1990 Christmas movie staple, as well as the subsequent installments in the franchise, are streaming on Disney+. Yes, that means Home Alone 2 (1992), Home Alone 3 (1997), Home Alone 4 (2002), and the more recent Home Alone: The Holiday Heist (2012) and Home Sweet Home Alone (2021) are all available to stream.

2. ‘Miracle on 34th Street’

Not only is Home Alone on Disney+ but so is Miracle on 34th Street. That includes both the 1947 original starring Natalie Wood and the 1997 remake with Mara Wilson. Do a Christmas movie marathon and watch them back-to-back or watch one or the other. Bottom line, Disney+ is the place to go for streaming Miracle on 34th Street this month.

3. ‘The Holiday’

It’s December and that means it’s time for The Holiday. Watch Iris (Kate Winslet) and Amanda (Cameron Diaz) switch houses for two weeks in this popular Nancy Meyers rom-com. Drool over the interiors—ahem, Meyers’ kitchens are the stuff of Pinterest board dreams—and, of course, Amanda’s cozy winter wardrobe.

The Holiday is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

4. ‘Elf’

Santa’s coming! And what better way to celebrate than with a December viewing—or five or 10—of Elf? The 2003 comedy about Buddy the Elf (Will Ferrell) is streaming on Hulu and Max. Additionally, it’s available to Disney+ premium subscribers. And, of course, like most, if not all, of the Christmas movie staples on this list, they’ll air on TV many times throughout the month.

5. ‘Jack Frost’

See young Charlie (Joseph Cross) reconnect with his dad, Jack Frost, played by Emmy winner Michael Keaton when he magically takes the form of a snowman. (George Clooney was originally slated for the role.) Jack Frost is streaming on Hulu. It’s also available to watch for free on Sling TV.

6. ‘National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation’

Ready for Christmas with the Griswold family? National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is streaming on multiple platforms. Watch the John Hughes-directed comedy on Hulu or Max and try—and probably fail—not to quote every hilarious line from Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase), Ellen Griswold (Beverly D’Angelo), and the rest.

7. ‘Die Hard’

Debates about whether or not it’s a holiday movie aside, there’s no arguing that, for some, Die Hard is a staple come Christmastime. See Bruce Willis in his iconic role as John McClane by streaming Die Hard on AMC+, Amazon Prime Video, and/or Hulu.

8. ‘A Christmas Story’

For the first time in the series history, OG pros Derek Hough and Mark Ballas showed viewers what a traditional, male-led Argentine tango looked like. They pulled back the curtain on the origins of the breathtaking dance.

The three-hour finale heralded the return of the season’s most beloved celebrities. The episode featured two-time Mirrorball winner Mark Ballas. He returned to the ballroom to demonstrate a traditional Argentine tango alongside Derek Hough.

Traditionally, the Argentine tango was practiced between male partners who wanted to impress women. Hough and Ballas danced the ballroom staple as it was originally intended.

However, while a male and female Argentine tango has evolved into a sensual dance, males trade off on powerful moves. Hough and Ballas led a breathtaking performance that left the ballroom speechless.

Hough said in the comments section of an Instagram post that he was “Here to open some possible doors. Loved creating and dancing with you brother, Mark Ballas.” The men demonstrated their power, feeding off one another during the dance.

Derek Hough and Mark Ballas fans exploded with joy over the traditional dance. They shared their comments in an Instagram post by Dancing with the Stars.

“Len would have been proud!!! Goosebumps absolutely fantastic,” wrote one viewer. They referenced late judge Len Goodman, who was a stickler for traditional ballroom techniques and would have likely loved this historic dance performance.

“The two best male pros of all time,” penned a second fan of the best friends, who combined have won a total of eight trophies. “The kings of DWTS,” claimed a third Instagram user.

“I never knew I needed a MANGO in my life until now,” shared a fourth fan. A fifth hoped for a bit more, stating, “So please tell us this season is the slow launch of Mark becoming a permanent judge.”

How long have Mark Ballas and Derek Hough been friends?

Derek Hough and Mark Ballas met as teenagers after Derek and his sister Julianne Hough traveled to England to be taught ballroom dancing by Mark’s mom Shirley Ballas. Derek lived with Mark, Shirley, and Corky Ballas, Mark’s dad, whom he called his “second parents” in his book Taking the Lead: Lessons From a Life in Motion.

The longtime pals and pro ballroom dancers competed against one another in their teen years, and Mark was Julianne Hough’s professional partner for a brief period. Eventually, the three were cast on Dancing with the Stars, where they would compete together once again.

Mark shared details of his long friendship with Derek to Us Weekly. “Derek and I have been friends since we were 10,” the Emmy nominee gushed of his “bro” on Monday. “Like, we’ve lived together, we went to school together every day. The dude used to steal my clothes. Like, we’re friends, you know what I mean? Brothers even.”

Season 33’s winners were former The Bachelor star Joey Graziadei and pro Jenna Johnson. Dancing with the Stars will return to ABC in the fall of 2025.

Dancing with the Stars semi-finals are the end of a season of ups and downs for many of the show’s celebrity competitors. With only 5 stars remaining, it’s down to the wire as the celebrities and their pros perform two dances that could be their lifeline to the finals or the end of the road. Tonight, one of them is going home one week short of the finale.

These fan favorites will be in the bottom two at the close of the semi-finals

Five celebrities are left to compete during season 33 of Dancing with the Stars. The series semifinals challenge them to dazzle the judges and viewers with mirrorball-worthy performances in ballroom and Latin styles.

However, there will be only three top performers of the five. Goldderby predicts who will be at the top of the leaderboard and the celebrities who won’t make the finale.

The odds-predicting site says The Bachelor star Joey Graziadei is the season frontrunner. However, he has tough competitors in TV star Chandler Kinney and Super Bowl champion Danny Amendola.

The dark horses of the season are Olympians Stephen Nedoroscik and Ilona Maher. Each is in danger of going home.

However, there’s no true prediction of how fans will turn out for their favorites. Each celebrity is allowed 10 votes per couple. So for Nedoroscik and Maher, it’s anybody’s game depending on their semi-finals performances.

During the Dancing with the Stars semifinals, the remaining five celebrities dance one ballroom and one Latin-style routine. Judging these performances are Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli.

Danny Amendola and pro-Witney Carson will perform a Viennese Waltz to “Gravity” by John Mayer and a Salsa to “I Like It” by Cardi B, Bad Bunny, and J Balvin. Joey Graziadei and pro-Jenna Johnson will perform a Foxtrot to “I Won’t Dance” by Erin Boheme featuring District 78 and a Paso Doble to “Come Together” by Lennon & McCartney.

Chandler Kinney and pro-Brandon Armstrong will perform a Foxtrot to “Too Sweet” by Hozier and a Salsa to “Spicy Margarita” by Jason Derulo and Michael Bublé. Ilona Maher and pro-Alan Bersten will perform a Viennese Waltz to “golden hour” by JVKE and a Paso Doble to “Unholy (Orchestral Version)” by Sam Smith and Kim Petras.

Finally, Stephen Nedoroscik and pro-Rylee Arnold will perform a Tango to “Sweet Disposition” by The Temper Trap. This dance will be followed by a Cha Cha to “Bailar” by Deorro featuring Elvis Crespo.

The show begins with a performance of “Dance The Night” by Dua Lipa. This routine is choreographed by pros Sasha Farber and Ezra Sosa. Additionally, there will be a special performance of “greedy (Acoustic)” by Tate McRae, choreographed by Mandy Moore and featuring some of the professional dancers joining the DWTS LIVE 2025 Tour.

How many episodes are left in season 33 of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ after the semi-finals?

There is one episode left of season 33 of Dancing with the Stars. The season finale airs on Nov. 26, 2024.

Fans will be able to vote for the remaining five celebrity competitors during the live semifinals in the ET/CT time zones. During this time, online voting will be available to fans in any time zone in the U.S. and Canada via dwtsvote.abc.com.

Viewers can also vote via SMS/text. Live viewer votes from the night will subsequently be combined with the judges’ scores to determine who will be eliminated.

Dancing with the Stars celebrates episode 500 by honoring its past as today’s contestants add a twist to some iconic performances during season 33.

DWTS is a live show, so that means anything can happen on stage as the celebrity cast and their pro partners compete for a mirrorball trophy. Along with the best routines are the most awkward moments. Here are some of the most memorable.

Master P’s unfortunate ‘DWTS’ record

In season 2, rapper Master P joined the show as a replacement for his son, Romeo, who dropped out of the cast due to an injury. However, P ended up creating an unfortunate DWTS record that still stands 500 episodes later.

He made it to week four of the competition. However, his stiff and uncomfortable to watch Paso Doble alongside pro Ashly DelGrosso received the lowest score ever in Dancing with the Stars history: an 8/30.

Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani feud

Reality star Kate Gosselin and her partner Tony Dovolani had to overcome personal issues during season 10 of Dancing with the Stars. The easygoing pro threatened to quit after a heated on-camera exchange with the celebrity.

While rehearsing their Jive, the DWTS cameras caught Gosselin saying she wasn’t a fan of the seasoned ballroom veteran’s teaching style. She added he wasn’t receptive to how she learned.

Dovolani took offense, stating that he had been a dance teacher for years and no one had ever questioned him. He later said, “I had a weak moment where I let her get to me. I completely overreacted and I feel terrible about it.”

Gosselin reacted, “I know that I can be frustrating at times, so I don’t blame Tony. I wouldn’t want to teach myself.”

Ryan Lochte protestors rushed the stage

Protesters rushed the stage after Olympian Ryan Lochte’s first Dancing with the Stars performance alongside two-time mirrorball winner Cheryl Burke, interrupting the live show. The incident occurred as Lochte was receiving one of the judge’s critiques of his dance routine.

Lochte joined season 23 to overcome of negative publicity he received over claims that he and fellow swimmers were robbed at gunpoint in Rio de Janeiro. Host Tom Bergeron quickly cut to a commercial break during the incident, but not before the camera captured the shock on Lochte and Burke’s faces.

Marie Osmond collapses

While receiving notes on her season 5 Ssamba with partner Jonathan Roberts, Marie Osmond collapsed to the ground. The singer subsequently received medical attention and was cleared to continue on the series.

It was later revealed that Osmond had been feeling lightheaded throughout the day. She was reportedly having breathing difficulties due to California wildfires that raged through the state in 2007.

Maks Chmerkovskiy tells Len Goodman he should retire in season 13

After dancing with Hope Solo during DWTS season 13, pro Maks Chmerkovskiy wasn’t too keen on criticism of their performance. Len Goodman, then the series’ head judge, had some harsh words regarding the technical aspects of the couple’s dance.

Goodman said it was Solo’s “worst dance” thus far. Chmerkovskiy challenged him, saying, “As long as the audience likes our journey.”

Goodman countered, “The audience liked the effect. I’ve been in this business for nearly 50 years…” before Chmerkovskiy told him he should “retire.” The pro was corrected by judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli for disrespecting Goodman.

Sabrina Bryan’s elimination

In season 15, front-runner Sabrina Bryan was axed in week six. She was a fan and judge’s favorite and received the season’s highest score for her first dance, followed by a perfect 30 score in week four.

Voters may have assumed Bryan was safe and decided not to vote for her, even though they loved her performances. “We had a lot of advice from other celebrities and producers that if we came out too strong we could get a backlash,” she said to ABC News.

However, the duo didn’t take heed and continued to give their all in every performance. “We wanted to be true to ourselves,” Bryan explained.

Dancing with the Stars is celebrating a major milestone. The dance competition series will mark its 500th episode with the return of some beloved pros to the ballroom. Who’s returning? Will they be dancing? Here are all the details of the DWTS‘ 500, featuring 33 seasons of mirrorball-worthy performances.

The confirmed and rumored pros returning to for ‘DWTS’ 500

Dancing with the Stars shared details of the special episode, featuring some of the series’ most iconic dances. However, they didn’t reveal any details about returning pros joining the celebration. But some pros appeared to spill the beans on their social media pages.

Sasha Farber shared a video on his Instagram story. In it, he took fans behind the scenes of the episode’s stage blocking.

Peeking her head around pro Gleb Savchenko was Sharna Burgess. The season 27 mirrorball winner looked directly at the camera and smiled in the video clip.

Burgess has not appeared in the series since season 30. She danced alongside her fiance, former Beverly Hills 90210 actor Brian Austin Green. She was not asked back for a pro tribute to the late Len Goodman in season 32.

A Reddit post shared details of other former pros who will likely also return for the milestone episode. These include Mark Ballas, Lindsay Arnold, Karina Smirnoff, and Allison Holker, but ABC has not confirmed their attendance.

The Bachelor‘s Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson dance contemporary to “Work Song” by Hozier, inspired by Riker Lynch and Allison Holker’s performance in season 20.

NBA champion Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach will perform an Argentine tango to “Santa Maria (Del Buen Ayre)” by Gotan Project, inspired by James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess’s performance in season 23. TV star Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong will dance the same style to “Para Te” by Appart in a routine inspired by Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough’s performance in season 16.

Olympian rugby player Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten will perform a quickstep to “Chuck Berry” by Pharrell Williams, inspired by Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold’s performance in season 25. DWTS 500 will kick off with an electrifying opening number, choreographed by married pros Pasha Pashkov and Daniella Karagach. As a thrilling nod to the past, the dancers perform a routine showcasing the very same song that opened the first episode of Dancing with the Stars in season one; “Crazy in Love” by Beyonce and Jay-Z.

Dancing with the Stars premiered on June 1, 2005, as a summer replacement series. The first celebrities to compete were Kelly Monaco (who would win the season’s mirrorball), Trista Sutter, Evander Holyfield, Rachel Hunter, Joey McIntyre, and John O’Hurley.

After 33 seasons, Dancing with the Stars remains a draw for families who enjoy a lighthearted competition series that all members can enjoy. From young to old, viewers have become accustomed to the ballroom techniques featured in the series and have made celebrities out of the series’ pros, who garner as much attention as the celebrities they’re paired with.

However, these viewers will have to find a different series to watch tonight, or perhaps head to their favorite streaming service or cable channel, as Dancing with the Stars will not air their regularly scheduled live show. Election Day coverage will dominate the airwaves on most if not all, local networks and many news channels.

Dancing with the Stars will return to its regularly scheduled slot on ABC’s schedule on Nov. 12. The series will celebrate a milestone moment, 500 episodes, with a spectacular installment filled with memories.

‘Dancing with the Stars’ celebrates 500 episodes

After winning 21 Emmys, generating 32 winners, and celebrating 51 pros, 394 stars, and thousands of iconic performances, Dancing with the Stars celebrates its milestone 500th episode on Nov. 12. Season 1 of Dancing with the Stars debuted on June 1, 2005. Thus, six celebrities were paired with six professional ballroom dancers. Tom Bergeron and Lisa Canning were the hosts while Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli judged.

At the close of season 1, former General Hospital star Kelly Monaco and Alec Mazo took home the series’ first mirrorball. Since that first installment, celebrities, athletes, social media stars, musicians, and showbiz legends have learned ballroom basics in their quest to take home a glittering trophy.

For the series 500th installment, the historic celebration kicks off with an electrifying opening number, choreographed by married pros Pasha Pashkov and Daniella Karagach. Subsequently, as a nod to the past, the dancers will perform to the song “Crazy In Love” by Beyoncé featuring Jay-Z, the same tune that opened the first episode of season 1 of Dancing with the Stars.

Following, the celebrities and their pros will take on the “Instant Dance Challenge.” They won’t know the dance style or the song until approximately five minutes before performing it live.

Danny Amendola and Witney Carson will perform a Quickstep, inspired by Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough’s performance in season 5, to “Hey Pachuco” by Royal Crown Revue. One thing is for sure in Only Murders in the Building Season 4—there are tons of celeb guest stars. But not everyone’s a fan. The Hulu original series has received criticism for including so many guest stars. But co-creator and showrunner John Hoffman’s OK with it. What he said about having celeb guest stars on Only Murders in the Building. Plus, his answer when he asked himself whether it was too much.

‘Only Murders in the Building’ has many celebrity guest stars in season 4

From the start Only Murders in the Building Season 4 set the tone that it’d be star-studded. It began when Oliver (Martin Short), Mabel (Selena Gomez), and Charles (Steve Martin) left New York for Hollywood.

The trio went to Paramount for a meeting with studio executive Bev Melon, played by Molly Shannon. Later they discovered Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, and Zach Galifianakis were playing them in the movie version of their podcast.

By the time the season wrapped on Oct. 29, 2024, there’d been a whopping 20 celeb guest stars, according to Elle. Only Murders in the Building Season 4 saw the return of Paul Rudd and Jane Lynch (Sazz Pataki). Meryl Streep and Melissa McCarthy memorably fought over Oliver.

Other appearances included Ron Howard, Scott Bakula, Kumail Nanjiani, Richard Kind, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph, just to name a few.

The ‘Only Murders’ creator thinks it makes ‘sense’ given the season’s movie storyline

Speaking to The Wrap, Only Murders in the Building co-creator and showrunner John Hoffman defended the show’s large number of celeb guest stars despite some criticism throughout the season. (Rolling Stone, for instance, said they took the show “too far away from its core characters.”)

“This season I’ve read of some people who are bothered by how many guest stars and all that sort of thing,” Hoffman said. “But I would only say this is a season where we’re at the movies and we’re making a movie. So the people around it should pretty strongly be people who make these things.”

He continued, saying at one point he even questioned the addition of so many celeb guest stars. Ultimately, though, it felt right.

“So that was a concern in certain ways that I was like, ‘Oh, are we going too far with all of this?’ Hoffman said. “But once you get down to it, you’re like, ‘OK, [it’s a] story that has to make sense for this narrative.’”

The final episode of the season, which dropped on Oct. 29, 2024, isn’t without some new additions. Only Murders in the Building Season 4 Episode 10: “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” includes an appearance by Téa Leoni (via Yahoo).

In it, the Madam Secretary alum plays Sofia Caccimelio, a mysterious woman who asks Charles and Mabel for help. With what? Her husband, Nicky Caccimelio, has gone missing. As it’s not within the walls of the Arconia, Charles and Maybel decline not once but twice. Finally, Sofia hands them her business card revealing her name.

Setting up another mystery for Only Murders in the Building Season 5? Fans have to wait and see what happens when the next season gets underway.

Milo Manheim and Witney Carson performed an unforgettable contemporary Halloween dance set to 2WEI’s version of Britney Spears’s “Toxic.” It perfectly captured the essence of Halloween; scary and spooky and entertaining as well.

Manheim was seen in a padded cell, and Carson played his nurse. The routine was deeply unsettling, as Manheim wore colored contact lenses and utilized jerky movements to depict a man in deep distress.

By the end of the dance, it was revealed that Carson was a figment of his imagination, and Manheim was left alone. The couple received a perfect 30 for the routine, putting them at the top of the night’s leaderboard.

Perhaps one of the most disturbing and electric Halloween routines Dancing with the Stars has ever generated was Iman Shumpert and Daniella Karagach during season 30. The couple performed a contemporary based on Jordan Peele’s horror film Us.

The NBA player and his pro partner were dressed in the movie’s iconic red jumpsuits. They danced to a song from the film’s soundtrack, “I Got 5 on It (Tethered Mix).” This routine earned the duo a perfect score of 40. Shumpert and Karagach would also go on to win the season and take home a mirrorball trophy.

Nev Schulman and Jenna Johnson (Season 29)

During season 29, Jenna Johnson and Nev Shulman’s professional partnership took a dark turn on the dance floor as they channeled the film Black Swan. The couple performed a Paso Doble to the song “Swan Lake Remix” by District 78.

Jenna portrayed the white swan while Nev, the darker side. Their performance was a mashup of the traditional ballet and the horror film.

The traditional ballet tells the story of a curse that turns young women into swans during the day and humans at night. The only way to break the curse is through faithful love.

In the film, Nina (Natalie Portman) is a ballerina chosen by her ballet company’s artistic director to replace his prima ballerina for a production of Swan Lake. However, Nina has a competitor, Lily (Mila Kunis) whom he wants to play the Black Swan. A rivalry between the dancers transforms into a twisted relationship.

‘Dancing with the Stars’ Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold (Season 25)

Jordan Fisher and his pro-partner Lindsay Arnold danced a routine to a nightmarish rendition of the children’s story, “Little Red Riding Hood.” They danced a Paso Doble where Fisher played the Big Bad Wolf during season 25.

The couple danced to “Animals” by Martin Garrix. The result was straight 10s from the judges for a total of 30 out of 30 points.

Fisher and Arnold would go on to win the season in 2017. They beat out violinist Lindsey Stirling and actor Frankie Muniz for a glittery mirrorball. The dance duo set a record that remains in place to this day, the most perfect scores in a single season with nine.

During season 33, the remaining couples will dance through each celebrity’s nightmare. These performances will focus on this particular fear.

Danny Amendola and Witney Carson dance Argentine Tango to “Poison” by RAVN based on his nightmare: snakes. Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson will perform an Argentine Tango to “Ramalama (Bang Bang)” by Róisín Murphy based on his nightmare: ventriloquist dolls.

Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach dance Contemporary to “Ring Around The Rosie” by District 78 featuring Natalia Lillee where Dwight becomes the nightmare: the boogeyman. Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong perform a Viennese Waltz to “Secret” by Denmark + Winter based on her nightmare: creepy dolls.

Olympian rugby player Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten Tango to “Psycho Killer” by Miley Cyrus based on her nightmare: psycho killers. Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold dance Contemporary to “I Ran (So Far Away)” by Hidden Citizens based on his nightmare: the dark. Finally, Jenn Tran and Sasha Farber will perform a Contemporary routine to “Vampire” by Olivia Rodrigo based on her nightmare: vampires.

Steve Martin and Martin Short’s friendship got a shoutout on Only Murders in the Building. Sure, their characters, Oliver Putnam (Short) and Charles-Haden Savage (Martin), are friends. But the writers behind the Hulu original series included a line in the Oct. 22, 2024, episode about something the comedians do together: get colonoscopies.

Oliver told Charles they could get colonoscopies together on ‘Only Murders in the Building’

In the Oct. 22, 2024, episode of Only Murders in the Building, “Escape from Planet Klongo,” Oliver and Charles argue on a Ron Howard movie set. Oliver has a specific vision for his bachelor party: whiskey, A-listers, and naughty secrets.

Charles can’t take it and calls Oliver “insufferable” before apologizing soon after. They go for lunch at a Chinese restaurant where Oliver once ate a memorable meal with Howard.

In an unusually heartwarming moment for the two, Oliver tells Charles: “You know we’re going to be friends to the end,” before adding, “We can get colonoscopies together.”

Charles very sweetly tries to make Oliver’s bachelor party dreams come true with whiskey and a naughty secret. He gives Oliver’s framed headshot pride of place next to Howard’s on the restaurant’s wall of celebrities. Then in walks “Ron Ron” who proceeds to have lunch with the two.

Short and Martin do get colonoscopies together

The equal parts funny and sweet line is made so much better by the fact that the actors do get colonoscopies together. Martin and Short have done it for years alongside Oscar winner Tom Hanks and producer Walter Parks to make getting ready for procedure more fun.

Short talked about it in his 2014 autobiography, I Must Say: My Life as a Humble Comedy Legend, before the two Only Murders stars discussed it during a 2018 Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance.

Every two years, they spend the night at Martin’s house playing poker, watching movies, and eating broth and Jell-O while they cleanse their systems the night before their colonoscopies. The next day, they carpool to their exams and have lunch afterward.

“We thought, everybody at our age…at a certain age, you want to get a colonoscopy,” Martin said on the talk show. “We all came over, we played poker, and we watched some funny movie and you drink all this stuff.”

“We call it ‘Colonoscopy Eve’ in Canada,” Short added. “There’s Jell-O, you know, there’s not much you can [eat],” Martin added. “You have to purge all day and then we toast.”

The only thing that puts a damper on their so-called Colonoscopy Eve fun? Martin only having one bathroom.

The ‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 4 finale is next

Sorry, Only Murders in the Building fans. Season 4 is almost over. After nine episodes, lots of laughter, many guest stars—and the killer’s reveal—all that’s left is the season finale. The tenth and final episode begins streaming Oct. 29, 2024, on Hulu.

It’s titled “My Best Friend’s Wedding.” Charles, Maybel, and Oliver will likely learn what exactly happened to Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch) in between Oliver and Loretta (Mery Streep) saying “I do.”

Here’s hoping the people behind the award-winning series really embraced the nod to the 1997 romantic comedy of the same name and maybe even got stars Julia Roberts, Dermot Mulroney, or Cameron Diaz to make a cameo.

Richard Kind Didn’t Think His Stink-Eye Joe ‘Only Murders’ Part Would Happen—Here’s Why

Richard Kind is one of the many famous faces to appear in Only Murders in the Building Season 4. However, the actor, 67, had doubts he’d actually end up on the award-winning Hulu original series despite having a part written for him.

Kind’s Stink-Eye Joe part was written for him

Kind, 67, got a big surprise from Only Murders in the Building producer Dan Fogelman on the golf course. “On this one, Dan Fogelman, who I’ve played golf with, says ‘We have you in mind for a part. We’re writing a part for you,’” Kind told The Wrap.

Stink-Eye Joe, whose real name is Vince Fish, wears an eye patch due to “antibiotic-resistant pink eye.” He’s one of the “Westies” at The Arconia who Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez), and Oliver Putnam (Martin Short) investigate as potential murder suspects.

In one scene Stink-Eye Joe punches Eugene Levy—one of many celebs to make a cameo this season—during an odd and hilarious conversation with Levy and Charles. In another, he mysteriously gathers with his fellow Westies only to be confronted by Mabel, Charles, and Oliver.

The actor had doubts he’d appear on ‘Only Murders in the Building’

Although the Only Murders in the Building team envisioned Kind playing the part of Stink-Eye Joe, the veteran TV, film, and theater actor wasn’t sure it would happen. The reason, he explained, is because it’s not how things go, at least in his own experience.

“I’ve been around long enough to know that when somebody says we’re writing a part for you, 95% of the time, it doesn’t happen,” Kind said. “You never hear from them, that’s the way it is. I’d love for it to be different, but it’s not.”

“Honorable” Fogelman defied Kind’s expectation. “There was a part and they called and it happened,” he said. “I didn’t think it would happen, but Dan is a great guy.”

“I’ve known John Hoffman for a few years and I know Marty Short. Those are three people who I adore and I know that they like me,” he added. “That doesn’t mean that if they didn’t call that they’re mean people, but that’s what Hollywood is like. These people happened to have called and so I did it.”

Kind wanted to play Stink-Eye Joe no matter what

What he’d be doing on Only Murders in the Building wasn’t a big concern for Kind. As he told the outlet, he was excited to be on set, acting alongside the rest of the star-studded cast.

“If a show that’s produced by Dan Fogelman and John Hoffman, starring Marty Short, Steve Martin, and Selena Gomez says they want you to work with them,” he said, “you drop everything and you do it.”

“I don’t care if they had me on the toilet reading the Yellow Pages. You do it,” he added. “I am drawn to these creative people and I trust them because their talent cannot be contained to a page. They’re just spectacular.”
